Close to the Fair district of Bologna, located 7 minutes on foot from the main entrance to the “Piazza Costituzione” of the Bologna Fair and the Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi (Convention Center), 15 minutes from the Parco Nord (North Park) and 1.5 Km from the Central Station and Via Indipendenza, the Alloro Suite Hotel welcomes you.

We certainly enjoy a privileged location among Bologna's 4-star hotels, easily accessible by car while avoiding the city traffic and the limited-traffic areas or ZTL. You can easily get to the marvelous Medieval historic downtown in 10 minutes by bike, freely available at the Reception, or taking the Bus, which stops 30 meters from the hotel.

A stay at the Alloro Suite Hotel is the ideal occasion to meet the modern Bologna of business and Fairs; or, discover the tradition, history and art at the Piazza Maggiore or the San Petronio Basilica, the Podestà Palace or the Nettuno Fountain; or marvel at the incredible Towers of the Asinelli and Garisenda, the National Museum or the National Art Gallery. All this can be combined with shopping along the streets of D'Azeglio, Farini, Indipendenza, Castiglione and Rizzoli, and a delicious gastronomic stop in on of the typical inns or refined restaurants that dot our historic downtown.

Bologna is known around the world as The Learned, since it houses the world's oldest University with almost 1,000 years of history. This is evident by the cultural vivacity and student ferment that, even today, pervades this city with initiatives and creativity that are the envy of the rest of Italy and Europe. Itis also known as La Grassa because of the variety and art of the culinary options it offers. Who doesn't know bologna (boloney), which can boast an IGP (Indicazione Geografica Protetta or Protected Geographical Location) recognition? Or ragù, tortellini or the famous 'lasagna bolognesa'? La rossa (The Red One) is due to its terracotta tradition, giving it an unmistakable hue that used to color and still colors palaces, villas and towers (over 300 in Medieval times!) of the historic downtown.
And the porticos, almost 40 Km across the center of Bologna that connect ancient palaces inviting a pleasant walk, a must for any stay at a hotel in Bologna.
